Midland Reinforcement supplies based in Ireland and Motherwell, Kierbeck Ltd based in Barking East London and Clwyd rebar based in Wrexham have today announced that from January 2010 they have in place a collaborative trading agreement.

The three businesses intend that by co operating and supporting each other they will be better able to respond to the changing needs of the UK Rebar Market. In particular achieving improved national coverage and service to UK contractors and a greater market share for group share holding partners Thamesteel and Van Merksteijn.

Commenting on the collaboration, Tony Woods MD of Midland Steel noted that this is a collaboration to invest in the needs of our client base all over the UK, to improve our services nationwide, and to further enhance the companies in producing top quality fabricated rebar, cut and bent, mesh, and accessories. This will greatly reduce lead times from 1 tonne to 1000 tonne and any clients requirements in the shortest time frame possible.
